In simple terms, reinforced concrete truss floor decks belong to the "cast-in-place system," forming a strong and structurally sound floor slab structure through synergy with cast-in-place concrete. ALC floor slabs, on the other hand, belong to the "prefabricated system," serving as lightweight precast panels that are easy to install but typically do not bear the primary structural load. The advantages of the two types of boards are summarized as follows:

Advantages:
① No need for on-site concrete pouring, eliminating the curing process, dry construction, resulting in fast construction speed.No need for customers to purchase ready-mixed concrete.
② Connected to steel beams with bolts, lightweight slabs, easy on-site installation, no need for large machinery.
2. Steel Truss Floor Slab:
Advantages:
① Excellent overall integrity and seismic performance. As a structural load-bearing component, it achieves high load-bearing capacity through the combined action of the steel truss and cast-in-place concrete.
② Only the steel truss base plate needs to be transported, the cast-in-place concrete can be supplied locally, reducing transport weight and lowering logistics costs.
③ Relatively low steel consumption in the main structure.
In general, the choice of floor slab type should be based on a comprehensive consideration of the project's actual needs:
If the project prioritizes structural safety, load-bearing capacity, and integrity, especially for large-span, heavy-load public buildings or high-rise buildings, and the construction area allows for easy procurement of ready-mixed concrete, then steel truss floor slabs are more suitable, but the cost of construction machinery must be fully considered.
If the project focuses more on physical properties such as construction speed, fire resistance, and sound insulation, or if it is inconvenient to purchase ready-mixed concrete at the construction site, then ALC floor slabs have obvious advantages and are particularly suitable for prefabricated buildings such as villas, residences, and office buildings with tight schedules and small spans. however, one must accept their inherent limitations regarding structural load-bearing capacity, as well as the transportation costs incurred due to the significant volume occupied by the ALC materials during transit.
